Hi Cathi! Visiting during The International Food and Wine Festival is so much fun! Experiencing a little something from each country is a great way to have a meal. Most food that is featured at the kiosks can be purchased with a snack credit, there are a few exceptions such as alcoholic beverages. My husband and I typically use 3-4 snack credits each to create our "meal" during the festival, but this can vary if you have any big eaters or little eaters in your party.
The Disney Dining Plan is a better value during the festival because the savings on an item such as the Lobster Roll(approx.$7)is a better value than buying a popcorn(approx.$3) with your snack credits. I highly recommend using snack credits during the festival because it is just a better value.
Consider your traveling party and what type of dining that you would like to enjoy when choosing a dining plan. If you like spending more time in the parks and not at the restaurants, then I would do the Quick Service Dining Plan. For each night of your stay, you will receive 2 Quick Service credits and 1 snack credit. If you want to experience more of Disney's Dining, then go with the regular dining plan which includes 1 Table Service Credit, 1 Quick Service Credit, and 1 Snack Credit per night of your stay. This is the most popular plan because it balances just the right amount of meals with your park time. The Deluxe Dining Plan consists of 3 Table Service Credits and 2 snack credits per night of your stay, it is a great way to go if you plan on doing a lot of dining or dining at Signature Restaurants which require 2 Table Service Credits per a meal. I find that it is really just too much food for my taste.
Happy planning and if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask!
Best Wishes
Mandy
