Welcome Back, Ann Marie!
In talking to my DisNerd friends about
Disney Dining Plans, I find that there are quite a few different schools of thought when it comes to redeeming snack entitlements. One of the Disney fan-run blogs I love to read is dedicated just to Disney food. They've done a lot of resEARch and calculations, and by their standards a good value is the $5 and above mark. While you can find a lot of awesome snack-eligible items in this range, be careful not to get too swept up in only ordering items for their value as you'll miss out on a lot of other delicious Disney delicacies.
While I like to use snack entitlements on between-meal-treats, I really love finding
Dining Locations with single snack credit items that can count as breakfast or a lighter lunch on days when I have an early dinner reservation. A warm cinnamon roll from Gaston's Tavern, a large Mickey waffle from Sleepy Hallow, assorted jumbo pastries from Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery, gourmet macaroni and cheese from Eight Spoon Cafe, the pulled pork & cheese topped fries at Flame Tree Barbecue, and the croissant jambon fromage (a ham and cheese croissant sandwich that yes, you do want it warmed up) from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie are some of my favorites. And snack entitlements can even be redeemed for any size of any hand crafted, specialty coffee beverage from the
in-park Starbucks locations, so be sure to get the venti!
My new favorite snack researching site is the Disney Parks Blog. Their 'Best Bites' and '
Sweet Treats' posts regularly feature Dining Plan Snacks!
We'll See You Real Soon, Ann Marie!
