Hello Jesse!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ve brought a really good question for us here to answer!
Creating memories through photos and videos is one of my favorite things to do. If I could go back in time I wish I would have taken more videos of my kids when they were younger. When I visit
Disney Parks it's very important to me to try and capture some of that magic around us, freeze time and have those moments forever. With that said, you won’t catch me visiting the
Disneyland Resort without my camera and gear in tow!
I can see that creating memories is also important to you. A gimbal will ensure that you get that nice buttery footage that you’re hoping for. You’ll be happy to hear that gimbals are currently not on the
list of prohibited items and are welcome into the parks. I have taken a gimbal myself many times and it makes footage that much better. I will say that security does have the final say on any item you wish to bring into the parks and as you mentioned in your question, it cannot extend in any way shape or form. A rule I use for myself, and you should too, is to make sure that you don’t interfere with other guests’ experiences and that you are only taking videos and pictures that any other guest might take as well.
Well Jesse, you’re well on your way to creating those memories on your next trip. If you think of anything else for your trip please come back and let us know!
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
