Hey Shelly! Welcome to planDisney!
We sure do love our furry friends around here and I can understand wanting them to experience the magic of the Happiest Place on Earth! While Mickey and Minnie make an exception for Goofy and Pluto, the Disneyland Resort
does not allow pets on the property unless they are certified
service animals. While we are waiting for news on when the Disneyland Kennel Club might reopen, one alternative to consider is that several of the Disney-approved
Good Neighbor Hotels are pet friendly! You would need to reach out to them directly for their specific pet policies but this might be a great place to start.
My fellow panelist Eean had a great tip recently that you can actually filter Pet-Friendly hotels by selecting that option under the
"Hotel Features and Dining" tab when searching Good Neighbor Hotels. Otherwise, I would recommend a good, old internet search for pet boarding options near the Disneyland Resort.
While you're enjoying your time in the parks, I'm sure you will be thinking of your sweet pup. I was just at
World of Disney this weekend and there are SO many cute dog toys and accessories available so your pup doesn't have to be left out of the magic! You can even use the
Merchandise Mobile Check-Out to save time making your purchase and get back to your pup even sooner. There are locations for mobile check-out clearly marked throughout the store and Cast Members are available to help if you have any questions. All you need is the
Disneyland Mobile App and you will see the option to "Shop in Store" when you click on the "+" icon at the bottom of your home screen. The app will walk you through the rest of the process and you can say goodbye to waiting in line!
I sure hope this was helpful in your planning, Shelly! I'll be sending some pixie dust your way that you find a path to the magic and your pup finds a safe place to play. If you have any more questions, feel free to come back to see us. We are always here for you at
planDisney.
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
