Hello Khristian, and welcome to planDisney! There's nothing quite like a whimsical boat ride around the world. I totally understand why you hope to experience "it's a small world" during your upcoming visit. I have some pixie-dusted news for you. Let's get into it!
Khristian,
"it's a small world" appears to be nearing the end of its extended refurbishment. According to the
Hours & Events Calendar, this beloved attraction should reopen around May 13, 2025! That's currently the first date when it's no longer listed under the "Closed for Refurbishment" section of the calendar. Of course, things can change, so make sure to check back just before your trip to confirm, but as of now, things are looking good!
When you set sail, look for familiar faces throughout the attraction, such as Peter Pan, Ariel, and Aladdin! I'm excited to see Miguel and Dante – they've recently been added, and Guests will get a first look once the attraction reopens soon.
You should also watch
Tapestry of Happiness, a new projection show coming to the façade of "it's a small world" as part of the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! It will feature all the things that make Disneyland special, with a new original song!
Speaking of the 70th Anniversary, there will be other exciting things to look for during your visit, like colorful decorations, exclusive merchandise, themed food, and special entertainment. I'm most excited about the return of
Paint the Night, a dazzling nighttime parade featuring one million bright lights! You won't want to miss it, Khristian. There will be an all-new World of Color, too. And that's just part of it. There are other great shows, both during the day and at night, and a fun interactive experience that you can purchase called
Key to Disneyland. I can't wait to do that one with my kids. Before you visit, check out the complete event guide on the
Disney Parks Blog.
Please keep in mind that there will be a
Grad Nite event on May 27, 2025. That means that California Adventure will close a little early that night, at 9 p.m. At that point, you can head into Disneyland if you have a
Park Hopper ticket, or you can take some time to explore the Downtown Disney District.
Khristian, I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, with lots of laughter and happy memories. Please reach out if you have any other questions. We're always glad to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
