will its a small world be operating in dec?

    Hi Tracy,

You're smart to plan ahead & check for scheduled closures to avoid possible disappointment once you're at the parks.

I haven't heard anything about "it's a small world" being closed in December. It underwent a refurbishment not long ago so while I don't know for sure, I wouldn't think it would close again so soon.

To see a list of scheduled Operational Updates for each park, click on the following links:

    Magic Kingdom
    Epcot
    Disney's Hollywood Studios
    Disney's Animal Kingdom

From there, choose a month from the drop down list beside the View Month tab. That will give you a list of park hours for each day. To check for scheduled Operational Updates, click on your dates of travel. To the right of the schedule for a particular day, you will see closings if any are scheduled. Disney usually posts online calendars for six months in advance so you may not be able to start checking until sometime in June 2011.

You can also check on www.allears.net.  Search for "Rehabs and Closures". It is an unofficial Disney website but they do an excellent job of giving you the info in one location. You can confirm by clicking on the links on the official Walt Disney World website shown above.

I'd check the links around November 2011 for updated information. You're also more than welcome to check back with us closer to time as well. Keep in mind attractions may close at any time without notice for a number of reasons.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
