On It's a small world in Magic Kingdom, if you are not able to sit/bend down low due to knee/leg issue ,but do not use a wheelchair or EVC ,is there a seat that sits higher on any of the accessible boats?

Hi there, Cynthia! I'm so glad you've brought this important question to planDisney.

It's a Small World is one of the true classic attractions in Magic Kingdom Park. I've ridden it dozens of times, but I still love to take in the detail of each scene. The song and the message often make me emotional as I think about what connects us all. The ride vehicle is a boat with a small step down. Once in the boat, the seats are relatively low. I can see why this would be a concern. The attraction does have ride vehicles that allow wheelchair access, and those boats have different seating in addition to the space for wheelchairs. My fellow panelist and wheelchair user, Kami, tells me that these seats are still somewhat low, but they might be better suited for someone with knee issues than the typical benches. Another option is to utilize a wheelchair just to experience this attraction. They typically have one for guest use in the loading area. My best advice is to speak with an It's a Small World Cast Member. They want everyone in your party to be able to experience the attraction, and they are the experts!

I understand that the individual you are asking for does not use a mobility device, but I am going to link to Services for Guests with Mobility Needs, as well as the Magic Kingdom Map for Guests with Disabilities. You may find helpful information in these resources while you're planning.

Since your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is this fall, I have to tell you that I absolutely love that time of year there! All the pumpkins, colorful leaves, and cinnamon snacks put me in the coziest mood, even though it's central Florida, and it may not feel like autumn quite yet. The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival will be underway during your visit, and it's a really fun way to spend a day at EPCOT! There are festival-exclusive displays and entertainment, but everyone's favorite are the nearly three dozen Global Marketplaces featuring diverse cuisine from six continents!

I hope this helps, Cynthia. If you have any more questions, please come back and see us here at planDisney! We love helping guests plan their next magical vacation, because the mountains divide, and the oceans are wide, but it's still a small world after all!
