A great, big, beautiful welcome to planDisney, Sebi! Thank you for visiting us and for sharing this question. I hope we can get you some helpful advice as you continue planning your
Disneyland Resort visit.
It's always a wonderful time of year when we see the seasonal themed overlays on classic attractions like
"it's a small world" Holiday. But it's equally exciting to see the iconic original versions come back, too. As you might know, this process does take some time and may be difficult to estimate. The best recommendation I have for you is to check the
Hours & Events Calendar on the official Disneyland Resort website, as this will indicate any attraction closures for refurbishment. You can also find it on the
"it's a small world" page. However, this schedule is populated about 6 weeks in advance and is subject to change. So, we're still a bit early to identify when this particular attraction will reopen after its temporary closure. We do know that the holiday overlay will be there through January 6, 2025, which is the official final day of the
Holidays at Disneyland Resort. I suggest checking back over the next few weeks to see when the refurbishment calendar is updated for the first part of the new year.
In the meantime, I wanted to share this wonderful story about the
60th anniversary of the "it's a small world" attraction. I love learning about the history and the signature Mary Blair design of this particular attraction experience and I hope you enjoy it too as you await your own Disneyland Resort adventure. If we can help with anything else that comes up, please feel welcome to visit
planDisney again soon.
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all.
Magically yours,
Tishra
