    When will It's a Small World and Haunted Mansion change to Holiday decorations in 2024?

    Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. I am happy to answer your question about my most favorite time of year at Disneyland Resort!

    I have good news! I just returned from a trip to Disneyland, and we rode Haunted Mansion Holiday several times. Jack Skellington and his The Nightmare Before Christmas friends have already taken over Haunted Mansion for the holiday season!

    Haunted Mansion Holiday is currently using a virtual queue, meaning that Guests cannot wait in the standby queue at this time. Instead, Guests have two opportunities each day to request to join the virtual queue on their Disneyland mobile app. Guests with a park reservation for Disneyland Park can request to join the virtual queue at 7:00 a.m. At noon, Guests inside Disney California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket or inside Disneyland Park can request to join the virtual queue. Just open the Disneyland app and scroll down to "Join Virtual Queue." Availability is limited, and I suggest trying to join the queue as soon as it is available.

    We will have to wait a bit longer for "it's a small world" Holiday, which is currently scheduled to open on November 15, 2024. This is the same day that the holiday celebrations kick off at Disneyland. Attractions sometimes open earlier than scheduled, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will reopen for your visit! 

    My family frequently visits Disneyland after Halloween Time ends and before the holidays begin. We like waking up each morning to see which holiday decorations have been added to Disneyland Resort. During this brief break between the holidays, we can often ride many attractions each day using Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It is a great time of year to visit the theme parks! Lightning Lane Multi Pass is an add-on service that allows Guests to skip the standby lines on many attractions. It is an easy way to maximize your time and fun in the parks!
