Your sailing is almost here, Maria. Speaking from experience, that’s got to be such a great feeling! The last few weeks before a sailing on
Disney Cruise Line are always the hardest, in my opinion. When it’s that close, you just want to board and get the magic underway!
To answer your question, Maria, I went over the
Prohibited and Restricted Items list on the Disney Cruise Line website, and I did not find any mention of portable speakers. Based on that and what you’ve told me, I anticipate that you would be just fine, with the big caveat that the final word is always at the discretion of Cast Members on embarkation day.
I always like to be prepared, Maria. And the fact that you’re here asking this question leads me to believe that you are too! To be on the safe side, I would
contact Disney Cruise Line directly with the make and model of your speaker. A Cast Member will be able to give you the most up-to-date information regarding whether your speaker will be allowed on board.
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend downloading the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Leading up to your sailing, you’ll be able to see a fun countdown that is updated in real time. It’s a great way to keep track of the days, hours, minutes, and even seconds to your sailing! Plus, on embarkation day when you connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi, it’ll turn into your one-stop shop for menus, dining, entertainment, and much more while you’re onboard.
