Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Judite!
I’m thinking you might be planning one of my favourite Disney vacations – a stay at
Walt Disney World Resort and sailing with
Disney Cruise Line – that is the optimal way to vacation in my opinion!
Walt Disney World Resort is part of an ongoing pilot program in designating four Disney Resort hotels as dog-friendly, and these hotels are, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. It is my understanding that
only service animals are allowed in Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. I invite you to read through the
Walt Disney World Resort Pet-Friendly hotels for more important information. As far as Disney Cruise Line is concerned, trained service animals are welcome to accompany their forever person on a Disney Cruise ship, and I ask that you refer to the
Disney Cruise Line Service Animal Page for details and information.
If you are planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation before or after your Disney Cruise Line sailing, I recommend you contact Disney Cruise Line’s ground transportation to arrange your transport to Port Canaveral to or from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. When booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, take note of the theme park ticket option called the
Disney Genie+ service which will save you time waiting in lines. As soon as you are booked, please
link your Walt Disney World Resort reservations to your Disney account to manage your plans through My Disney Experience and make your
Disney Park Pass - Theme Park Reservations in advance of your arrival.
Tip:
Walt Disney World® Resort Pet Boarding/Kennels services are available at Walt Disney World Resort for your convenience if you are unable to take your furry friend with you on the cruise.
Best Disney wishes from a fellow Canadian Disney fan ~ Jacqueline
