My small family including my 3 yr old daughter, wants to go to the MVMCP while we visit in early December. What small kid rides will be open? Do young families stay for this? Will restaurants be open? And what is there for her to do...

    Hi Alison!

Your daughter sounds like my kind of girl!  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is my favorite special event at Walt Disney World.  We go every year and have such a wonderful time!  You will find that all of the small kids rides will be open, unless they happen to be closed for refurbishment at that time.  My kids are 1 and 4 and my son has been going since he was a baby.  Sometimes it can be challenging keeping them up later than usual, but we just make sure we have a nice rest/nap period late in the afternoon so we all have energy for the party.  Not all of the restaurants are open, but you will find a couple of places to grab a bite to eat.  Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe will have a couple sides open to order food and one of the sides is open to pick up your hot cocoa and cookies.  You will find that most of the quick service restaurants are being used to serve treats.  The special party map will show you what restaurants are open as well as treat stations and meet & greet locations.  My suggestion is to eat before the party if you can, that way you can maximize your time celebrating the holidays with Mickey and his friends.

    Have a magical day!
