Hello, Alyssa! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so happy you thought to ask your question here as you prepare for your upcoming Disney Cruise.
You are welcome to bring both your small carry-on suitcase and your backpack with you as you board the ship. I've done this plenty of times and it has always been acceptable. I hope that puts your mind at ease as you zip up your luggage and get ready to set sail. If you'd like some suggestions about what to pack, the Disney Cruise Line website has a very handy
packing checklist.
Please be sure that you have your important
travel documentation with you in your carry-on luggage as you will need to present it when you check in at the port. It's also wise to keep all electronics, jewelry, and medication you might need in your carry-on as well.
As you prepare to set sail, please be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. If you've already downloaded it, it's a good idea to make sure you have updated the app to the latest version before leaving home. Prior to sailing, you can utilize it to manage your reservation, explore and book activities, and even count down to the big day. While onboard it will be your handy guide to what is happening around the ship and offers a chat feature so that you can stay in touch with your shipmates. I love to use the app to "favorite" (click the heart icon) the activities in the day that catch my eye, and the app will even notify me when an activity that I have set as a favorite is about to begin!
Alyssa, have a magical time onboard your Disney Cruise. Please sail to planDisney again if you have additional questions. My fellow panelists and I are here and happy to help.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
