Hey there, hi there Dennis! Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always welcome as can be.
It looks like you're planning a very merry vacation this November.
The holiday season is my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World. You'll be arriving just in time to take in the festive atmosphere, decorations, and seasonal snacks. Speaking of the snacks, be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog so you don't miss their
"Foodie Guide" to the holidays. They haven't released this year's guide, but last year I enjoyed picking out my must-try treats in advance of my November trip.
If you're looking to visit the theme parks when they're less busy, it's best to avoid major holidays, special events, and times when young Mousketeers will be out of school. Thanksgiving week, Veteran's Day weekend, and "Jersey Week" come to mind when thinking about busier times in November. Since you're from the Garden State, you might be familiar with the week in early November when schools are closed for the New Jersey Education Convention. I have several friends in New Jersey who visit Walt Disney World annually during that same time frame. You'll also want to check the
runDisney events calendar and avoid race weekends; these draw large crowds to the area.
I hope this helps, Dennis! Last year, I visited Walt Disney World during the second weekend in November and had an incredible time. The weather was practically perfect, and the crowds were manageable. This year, in addition to the usual merriment, you'll also enjoy the glitz and glamor of the
50th-anniversary celebration. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog and
follow us on social media so you'll know what to expect on your trip. Thanks for coming by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!
