Hi Philip,
Yes, some days might be slower than others, but in my opinion, ANY day is a great day to visit the Walt Disney World Resort!
Crowds do fluctuate throughout the year, and crowd calendars (located on many third party Disney planning sites) can definitely be helpful, but to me, it's impossible to pick one day of the week that's slower than others. While weekends might seem like they'd be busier because Guests within a short drive can enjoy a visit, those are also travel days for Guests coming from farther away. Too many factors go into crowd sizes, and holidays, special events, and
park hours often affect crowd size more than day of the week does. I'd encourage you to check the
ticket prices because those are set based on expected crowd levels. It's a pretty safe bet that the lower the ticket price, the fewer people expected for the day.
Even more important than choosing a day of the week with smaller crowds is having a good plan in place. If you arrive at least 45 - 60 minutes before the theme park is scheduled to open, you'll have plenty of time to go through security and ticketing and you'll be able to hit the ground running when the theme park opens. My family has always found that we're able to enjoy several attractions in the first hour or two of the day before the crowd begins picking up. Then, beginning mid-morning, we start taking advantage of our previously scheduled
FastPass+ selections. We use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to place our lunch order through
mobile ordering, which is another great time-saver, then once we've enjoyed all three of our FastPass+ selections, we use the app to make additional selections, one at a time, throughout the rest of the day.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Philip, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your visit. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
