is there a slower day of the week to visit the parks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sharon!

Any day at the Walt Disney World Resort is better than a day elsewhere, regardless of crowds. But I understand trying to visit when it’s not too busy, so you are able to enjoy as much magic as possible during your stay.

Crowd prediction is not a perfect science. There are so many variables to consider. Special events, holiday seasons, school breaks… they all affect attendance at the parks. But there are some “rules of thumb” and planning tools that can help you choose the perfect day to visit your chosen theme park.

Generally speaking, weekdays will have lower attendance since you won’t have the influx of locals that prefer to visit during the weekend. If you search online for crowd calendars, you will find multiple third-party sites that have guesstimates from tracking historic attendance patterns and being in the know about special events. But do keep in mind, they sometimes miss the mark. But at least you can get an idea of what to expect.

At the end of the day, with some good planning, like pre-booking your FastPass+, dining reservations, arriving early, and prioritizing your must-do’s, you’ll have a pixie-dusted visit no matter when you go!

I hope this helps answer your question. For additional planning tips or any more questions you might have, be sure to stop by and send those our way.

    Wishing you a magical day,
