I have a slight weight problem, and I'm not sure what to wear at Disney in early July. Do I wear the shorter shorts that are cooler,  or the longer shorts that are more comfortable walking, but will be warmer to wear?

Hey Ellen!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I think the key to a great vacation at Walt Disney World is being comfortable getting around.  There is absolutely a lot of walking involved so if you know you will be more comfortable in the longer shorts, I say go for it.  There are lots of stores you can duck into if you need a cool down while at the parks.  You can also go to any counter service restaurant and ask for a free glass of ice water and they are happy to give you one.  Ultimately, you know yourself better than anyone.  Trust you instinct and go with what you feel will be best.  Most of all, have a wonderful vacation.

If I can help you with anything else before you leave, please feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
