I can only sleep with a fan. The noise is soothing to me and helps me sleep. Would I be able to order a fan and have it shipped to the resort I am staying at?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathryn! I’m so glad to hEAR of another fan lover! At home, I sleep to the lulling sound of a Vornado or box fan, and on vacation, I’ve found a few ways to simulate these sounds!

While Walt Disney World Resort Hotels do not have fans to rent or buy, there are a few things you can do to sleep as soundly on vacation as you do at home. I found a tiny yet powerful $15 Room-Essentials fan at Target that’s as big as your hand, so it packs nicely, even in a carry-on suitcase. When I can’t bring my small fan due to packing space, I always have my iPhone plugged in next to my bed. I downloaded the White Noise App by TMSOFT for about $1, and it has many options like nature sounds, tones inspired by colors, and more. It’s a fantastic solution to a too-quiet room! Lastly, you can always mail yourself a fan from Amazon or from home to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, though you will incur a $5 fee per-package for the delivery upon pickup. Be sure to include your arrival date or reservation number in the shipping address.

I hope my sleep tips help you fall asleep easily and quickly once you’re ready for bed, though trekking through the parks and having fun all day usually wear me out enough to hit the hay pretty hard. Sweet dreams! ~ Lindsey P.
