Hey Howdy Hey, Yolanda!
If you're looking to discuss the Disney Skyliner, you've come to the right place. Here at
planDisney, we're all about making an aerial arrival to Walt Disney World Resort's theme parks. I'm particularly fond of the
Disney Skyliner because I feel just like Tarzan swinging between Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and some of my favorite Disney Resort hotels!
The Skyliner begins operation each day one hour before Early Theme Park Entry begins at EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios and continuously operates (weather permitting) until 90 minutes after EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios closes for the day. Unfortunately, weather can periodically impact the Skyliner's service, and when this happens you'll typically see signs outside of the station indicating a temporary closure. In the event of a Skyliner closure, Walt Disney World helpfully provides complimentary bus transportation as an alternative.
While you're in the middle of the magic, Yolanda, be sure to use your
My Disney Experience app. While it does not currently provide the operating status of the Skyliner, it does include a 'Get Directions' feature that can share the quickest route to your next destination. To use this handy tool, you'll simply need to search for the name of your destination in the app and then select 'Get Directions' to populate step-by-step navigation instructions. Just like magic!
I hope this information is helpful, Yolanda, and that you're feeling that Skyliner breeze so very soon.
Feel free to come see us again at planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
