Hey there, Sandra, and welcome to planDisney!
January will be here before we know it and it's another year to enjoy the Disney theme parks. The
Disney Skyliner just celebrated its 5th anniversary and it has transported thousands of Guests to and from magical destinations. It definitely is the icing on the cake when staying at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels like Disney's Art of Animation and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
You are on to something: There is usually Disney Skyliner maintenance every year around January, so it's great that you're already prepping for this potential closure during your vacation. So far, there have been no announcements for the 2025 annual maintenance.
However, I do believe that we'll hear news soon if there is a closure in January of next year. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and on the Disney Skyliner webpage. Here are the dates of the closures from past years to give you an idea of when the 1-2 week closure will be:
- January 23-28, 2022
- January 22-29, 2023
- January 16-27, 2024
Keep in mind that there are so many options to get around Walt Disney World Resort. The Disney Skyliner is amazing, but you can also use complimentary Disney bus transportation, water transportation, the Disney Monorail, or even the paid
Disney Minnie Van Service. While you’re at The Most Magical Place on Earth, check out the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. The 2025 dates should be announced soon (they usually are released in the month of October) and I have a feeling that the dates will align with your trip. My kiddos and I love painting the paint-by-numbers mural and watching artists at work around the theme park. Sandra, if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,
revisit us here at planDisney. Magic always,
