    Has the skyliner maintenance dates been announced for 2024? We are planning on staying at Art of Animation 1/20/24 through 1/26/24 and would be very disappointed if we could not ride the skyliner!

    Hi Nicholas, welcome to planDisney!

    A huge benefit to staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is having direct access to the Disney Skyliner!  I find traveling by an aerial gondola to be peaceful and relaxing and the views from above are certainly spectacular!  

    At this time, no information is available on when/if the Disney Skyliner will undergo refurbishment during your vacation.  However, I can tell you from personal experience, that refurbishment took place at the end of January for the last two years during my Walt Disney World vacation when I was staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort.   Specifically, the scheduled refurbishment dates were as follows:

    2023: January 22-January 29
    2022: January 23-January 28

    I would also like to mention there are times when the Disney Skyliner will close unexpectedly due to weather conditions in the area.  You may receive an alert on your My Disney Experience App when this occurs if you are staying at a resort with direct access to the Disney Skyliner.   Bus transportation is available whenever the Disney Skyliner is not operational.
