Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Gena!
Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World!! When you’re counting down the days to the MAGIC, it’s always wise to double-check the details that can affect your plans, especially transportation. Knowing what to expect ahead of time helps everything feel smoother and more relaxed once you arrive. With that in mind, here’s what you’ll want to know about the
Disney Skyliner schedule.
According to the
Disney World website, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 25, 2026, through January 31, 2026. During that time, the Skyliner gondolas will not be operating at all, so you won’t be able to use them to travel between resorts and parks. The good news is that Disney has you covered, because
complimentary bus transportation will be provided throughout the closure. Those buses will connect Skyliner resorts to
EPCOT and
Hollywood Studios just like usual. If you’re traveling earlier in January or anytime in February 2026, the Skyliner should be running normally. Disney typically schedules this kind of refurbishment during a quieter stretch, which helps minimize the impact on guests. It’s also worth noting that these refurbishments are routine and help keep the Skyliner safe, smooth, and reliable in the long term. If your stay overlaps with those dates, it’s just a good idea to budget a little extra travel time.
Even with the Skyliner down, you’re still going to have a fantastic trip. The buses during refurbishments are well-organized and run frequently, especially during peak park hours. You’ll still get where you need to go with ease, and you won’t miss out on any park fun.
As you continue to plan, be sure to check out the
Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information on all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some incredible surprises planned, and we don't want you to miss any of the fun!
If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Have a MAGICAL day!
