Will the Skyliner be closed in January 2024? I have reservations at Pop Century for a big solo trip and am disabled. It’s been over 40 years since I went to WDW, then it was only the Magic Kingdom. I know even if it is closed it is going to be magical!

    Hi Claudia,

It's so exciting to hear that you will be coming "home" after 40 years!  Even though you are more of a grownup these days, your heart is sure to return to that of your inner child when you experience the Magic of Walt Disney World.

You have picked a great Disney Resort hotel to stay, and it's a particular favorite of mine.  Disney's Pop Century Resort has such fun and whimsical decor that it will have you feeling nostalgic for the past decades.  I see that you already know that the Disney Skyliner has a connection at Disney's Pop Century Resort, and it is another mode of transportation offered for Guests staying there.  At the present time, the exact dates for the next refurbishment and maintenance for the Disney Skyliner have not been announced, although for the past two years it has been in January.  However, when the next refurbishment and maintenance is scheduled, you will see a notification on the Disney's Pop Century Resort webpage as well as the Disney Skyliner webpage, so it is a good idea to check back at a later date.  If the Disney Skyliner will be closed during your vacation, have no worries about transportation as the incredible Walt Disney World Bus Service will be more than sufficient to transport you to your Walt Disney World Resort destinations.

Claudia, I see that you mention that you are disabled, and I wanted to let you know that there are many Services for Guests with Disabilities available should you need them.  Some of these accommodations include the Disability Access Service (DAS) as well as Wheelchair and ECV Rentals.  If you have any particular questions about any of these services, please come back to planDisney and ask them here.  We are always happy to help you plan your next Magical adventure!
