This must be a popular topic as I just answered a similar question for another guest. The
Disney Skyliner is a fun mode of transportation for sure! Who wouldn't enjoy traveling by an aerial gondola as you travel to get to your destination?
At this time, no information is available on when/if the Disney Skyliner will undergo refurbishment in 2024. However, I can tell you from personal experience, that refurbishment took place at the end of January for the last two years during my Walt Disney World vacation when I was staying at
Disney's Pop Century Resort. Specifically, the scheduled refurbishment dates were as follows:
2023: January 22-January 29
2022: January 23-January 28
Additionally, there are times when the Disney Skyliner will close unexpectedly due to weather conditions in the area. This happened to me recently when I attempted to travel from Disney's Pop Century to EPCOT. The Disney Skyliner had to close suddenly, due to weather, when I was transferring to the EPCOT line at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The Cast Members are expertly trained for this situation and they were able to have Disney bus transportation lined up quickly. Thankfully, I was able to get to EPCOT in time for my
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Individual Lightning Lane reservation.
