Hi Trichia!
We are so happy to have you here at planDisney. I can see that you are visiting Disneyland this weekend, so let's save the small talk for later and jump right into your question!
The
Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace experience is on my list for our next visit! My family lives in Philly, so when we travel to Disneyland, we try to squeeze in every last minute of magic and maximize our time in the parks. This means a splurge here and there on dessert parties or special experiences like the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace, which allows us to enjoy a show without having to spend precious park time grabbing a spot early.
The Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace functions like a lounge that you have access to for the evening. When it comes to what is included, of course, there are tangibles, such as the bites, sips, and sweets, and a spectacular view of the fireworks, but there are intangibles to consider here as well, which make this experience worth every penny. First, there is an indoor portion of the lounge that includes plenty of seating, games, and even a kid-sized area with Disney movies and entertainment playing. What I love about this experience is that, with your reservation, you are welcome to come in and out of the lounge as much as you'd like between 6:30 PM and 10:00 PM, subject to change. It becomes a highly themed respite for your park evening!
When you're ready, you will be seated to enjoy a nostalgic Space Age-themed commemorative bento box filled with both sweet and savory treats. The adult menu can include a cold sandwich, a salad, cheese and crackers, and a seasonal dessert, along with unlimited soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, hot tea or hot chocolate, and a specialty-themed nonalcoholic beverage. Kids will enjoy something similar, including a cold sandwich, fruit, vegetables with dipping sauce, cheese and crackers, a seasonal dessert, and the same drink options.
All Guests will be invited to the outdoor terrace to view and enjoy that evening's performance of
Wondrous Journeys. Even if you have come earlier in the evening to eat your dinner, you can return and find a spot on the terrace to watch. One thing to note here is that you will want to check that fireworks are scheduled for your park day in the
Entertainment Calendar. With summer upon us, fireworks are typically scheduled for each night of the week, weather permitting, but I always recommend checking ahead of time and also reading through the cancellation policy and the "Know Before You Go" information on the website. Note that you will have a view of the fireworks, but not the projections on the castle from this viewpoint. I love watching from this view, it takes me back to my earliest days as a kid visiting with my family and just being in awe of the fireworks lighting up the night!
I'm expecting to find the value of the Skyline Terrace experience in having a unique location to consider home base for the evening, the time spent with my family, slowing down to enjoy our meal together with a beautiful view of the park, getting to rest from the park hustle and bustle, and stepping out onto the terrace for what will surely be a memorable fireworks display. And of course, I love Disney seasonal sweet treats, so you can't go wrong!
Trichia, I sure hope this has helped guide you on your decision-making! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
