Hiya, Lydia! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
It looks like you’re visiting the Magic Kingdom in a couple of weeks. Woo hoo! You’ll be strolling down Main Street U.S.A. and off to explore the worlds of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy before you know it.
While there isn’t a way to entirely skip the queues, there are ways to reduce your wait times when visiting the Magic Kingdom or other Walt Disney World theme parks. Let’s take a look at your options!
The first one that comes to mind is purchasing Lightning Lane Passes. There are
three different types of Lightning Lanes, which you can read about here, but they all allow you to skip the standby line and join a shorter queue for select experiences. You find information on how to purchase Lightning Lane Passes
here, and info on eligible experiences
here.
My favorite way to experience the theme parks with lower wait times is to take advantage of
Early Entry. This perk is available to guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and it allows them to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before official opening to enjoy select attractions. There are also
extended evening hours on select evenings, where guests of Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can stay after official park closing. This is not offered every day, unlike Early Entry, but you can check the
Hours and Events Calendar to see if any extended evening hours are scheduled for your visit.
Lydia, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World. Pop right back if you have more vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
