Hi Daisy!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Thank you for sending in such a good question. You are correct that for
International Guests, photographic ID may be requested, and as a visitor from the United Kingdom myself I have always been asked to show photographic ID - British Passport, or UK Driving Licence - at the
Front Desk when checking-in to my Disney Resort hotel. You can still use online check-in to save some time at the Front Desk when you arrive - you can set up a credit/debit card and a PIN to link to your account, add your email address, and make a couple of room requests (such as 'highest floor' and 'near to lobby'). You will have to collect your
MagicBands on arrival as they are not shipped to addresses outside the USA (unless you already have active MagicBands from a previous visit, and have declined new ones). Normal check-in time is 3.00pm, and I'm guessing that if you are travelling from the UK you won't arrive at your Disney Resort hotel much earlier than that, but if you do arrive early you can collect your MagicBands and go through the check-in procedure. The Front Desk will then email you when your room is ready (if it is not ready when you arrive - you never know!) and will give you details of your room number so you can head straight there. You can also leave all your luggage with Bell Services who will store it securely for you if you want to go to the parks, or even just spend some time by the pool while you wait.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World Resort, and keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and any updates on events that may be happening during your stay.
Sue
