Ahoy there, John, and welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you're prepping for an amazing adventure, and as any good sailor worth their salt would ask, you'd like to know what ballast the ship can take on! I like the cut of your jib!
I have good news and potentially less exciting news, but in any case, let's get to it!
When it comes to provisioning yourself on the H2O front, there isn't
technically a limit to the number of water bottles you can bring. However, you will have to limit it to what you and your crew can bring in your carry-on luggage. I'd suggest keeping it to a reasonable amount - but I know everyone's definition of reasonable is different, haha!
Now while you may be tempted - and believe me, I've seen this happen - to stuff every nook and cranny of every carry-on bag your crew is bringing, lugging those water-filled bags around the ship before your stateroom is ready can get old pretty quick! Even without water in my bags, I've regretted carrying on too much during embarkation day, so use your best judgment on what size and how many, but know that you don't have to restrict too much in this department!
These days our carry-ons are usually a streamlined pack of a few snacks for our little one, a folder containing our Port Arrival Form,
Travel Documentation, swimsuits, any essential medication, and a change of clothes, just to keep things light as we explore the ship on the first day. We also hardly ever bring water onboard because we spend plenty of time topside where there are self-serve beverage stations that have water available 24 hours a day! Water can also be found at Cabanas and
Marceline Market, at
all lounges, and of course at the
main dining rooms throughout your cruise at no additional cost.
Here's a planDrew-approved tip: we always bring our favorite refillable bottles and cups to use throughout our voyages and especially when we head off on Port Adventures - but you can also purchase water packages through the
Onboard Gifts section of the website, so you can have a backup stash waiting for you in your stateroom when you arrive - no need to wait to purchase on the ship! My favorite part about this option is the water comes in recyclable aluminum can-style bottles!
I hope that hydrates your plans enough to quench your crew's thirst ahead of time, John! Thanks so much for your question, and if you need any additional waypoints marked on your map as you continue preparing, please send another message our way here at planDisney!
Until then, we'll SEA ya real soon!
