What size water jug can I bring to the park

    Hi there, Ralph!

Here at planDisney, it's always a practically perfect day to discuss the details of an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm so glad you stopped by with your question!

Summers in Florida are no joke, but I'm a firm believer that some places are worth melting for. Of course, Walt Disney World is one of them! Happily, I've discovered so many ways to beat the heat over the years, and I'd love to share a few of them with you today!

The first key to saying cool is carrying a refillable water bottle, so you're ahead of the game, Ralph! There are no specific guidelines for water bottles, so you'll just want to make sure that yours abides by the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, which prohibit glass containers and coolers larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Personally, I prefer using a smaller bottle that holds no more than 20 ounces, as it is easier to carry during full theme park days. Between water bottle refill stations and complimentary cups of water available at most quick-service dining locations, you can conveniently stay hydrated all day long!

My next tip is to remember that water isn't just for drinking. Disney Resort Hotel swimming pools and Walt Disney World's two water parks are great places to cool down while still making the most of your time in the magic. I've also been known to stop by Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana during a warm day in EPCOT for a quick cool down. I love that the interactive stations allow adults to enjoy just the right amount of mist and splashes without feeling (and looking) like you've been caught in a summer storm.

Finally, don't be afraid to order dessert and linger over your lunch. Better yet, book a midday character dining experience! During the summer months, enjoying an air-conditioned meal feels a lot like magic!

I hope this helps, Ralph, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with magical memories!

    Cheers,
    Lizzie
