Welcome back to planDisney, Megan!
I hope you’re excited to take your little Mouseketeer to The Happiest Place on Earth! I’m getting ready to take my little one for his first time, and I am getting SO excited! But, I’m also now entering the world of strollers and Rider Switch, so I’m right there with you!
Currently, as of May 2019,
strollers cannot be larger than 31 inches (79 centimeters) wide and 52 inches (132 centimeters) long. Wagons are also not permitted into the theme parks at the Disneyland Resort.
Now, Rider Switch Service is incredibly nice, and I hope you use it to the fullest! (
Check out this list to see what attractions have Rider Switch Service available.) Here’s how to use it:
-Check in with the greeting Cast Member at the front of the attraction with your entire party to get Rider Switch initiated.
-Divide yourselves into two groups (one that will ride and one that will stay with the child).
-Allow “Group 1” to experience the attraction while “Group 2” waits with the little one.
-Once “Group 1” finishes, “Group 2” will approach the Cast Member to utilize their Rider Switch Service by “skipping” the traditional stand-by line.
This is a great way for adults to enjoy attractions in a convenient way when traveling with small children. (Be sure to browse the
Rider Switch Service page to make sure you understand the terms and conditions!)
If you have additional questions, we’d be happy to hear from you again at The Happiest Panel on Earth - planDisney!
