Welcome back to planDisney, Trisha. My fellow panelists and I are always excited to see a returning guest!
Trisha, I love chatting about the wide variety of
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and how you can find a "fit" as perfect as Cinderella's glass slipper. Now, to your question about the 5th sleeper, there are a few different resorts that offer this configuration so let's talk about specifics.
Trisha, the size of the pull-down bed
does depend on the resort. For example, my family and I stayed in a deluxe studio at
Disney's Riviera Resort this summer. The pull-down sleeper at that resort is similar in size (slightly narrower: approximately 75 inches by 32 inches) than a standard twin bed and would fit many adults. However, over at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, the pull-down bed is listed as "child size" and
IS noticeably smaller (both in length and width: approximately 63 inches by 30 inches) when compared to a standard twin bed and would definitely be better for a younger Mouseketeer.
As you are searching for a room that accommodates five guests, make sure on the individual page for each resort that you note the description of the sleeper on the "Room Rate" tab.
I hope this information helps as you're planning ahead for your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Please come on back with any additional questions and have a pixie dusted stay!
