Hi, Kathleen! Welcome to planDisney! There's nothing like a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I think visiting in the spring is particularly magical! Your trip is right around the corner, so let's get to your question!
I'm a huge fan of
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. My family has made many wonderful memories there, so I am thrilled to hear you'll be staying there and making memories of your own! The picnic tables at the campsites are rectangular and approximately 6 feet long. They are designed to seat up to six guests. I imagine you are going to have a great time sitting around the table discussing all the fun you've been having and planning what you are going to do next!
Fort Wilderness offers some of the best and most unique amenities and recreation opportunities of all the Walt Disney Resort hotels. At Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long, you can meet your favorite chipmunks, roast marshmallows, learn a new song or two, and sing some old favorites. Afterwards, stay to enjoy a Disney movie under the stars. Another fun evening activity is the
Electrical Water Pageant. This decades-old nightly parade is simple, nostalgic, and patriotic. My favorite spot to watch it from is the beach near
Settlement Trading Post. Pro tip: Grab a Mickey Ice Cream Bar before heading to the shore!
The
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival just got started, and it runs through June 1. There are so many topiaries to see and activities for all ages. The
Garden Rocks Concert Series and over
20 Outdoor Kitchens are also highlights of this popular event. Disney Parks Blog has great information to help you plan your visit. I'll link their informational post
here.
I hope this helps, Kathleen! It's almost time for you to get packing! I just know that you and your crew are going to have a magical time! Be sure to come back to see us here at
planDisney if you have any more questions! We're always happy to help!
