Hello there, Patricia! Welcome to planDisney. My fellow panelists and I are so happy to see you cruise our way with your question.
Your upcoming Disney Cruise is just a few short weeks away! Bust out the confetti, because that is something to celebrate! Please be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app if you haven't done so already. Not only can you use it from home to countdown the final days till your vacation begins, but when you step onboard it will be your handy guide to everything happening around the ship.
In the meantime, it sounds like you are getting ready to pack those bags. Disney Cruise Line
provides a packing checklist, in case you'd like some guidance on what to stuff in your suitcase! As far as the
luggage tags go, they are similar in size and function to the luggage tags provided by the airlines for checked luggage. They measure two inches by sixteen inches before they are folded. You loop the luggage tag under the handle of your luggage. Then, one side of the luggage tag has a piece that you peel off to reveal a sticker adhesive. You apply the sticker adhesive side of the tag to the other side of the folded tag. I have found these luggage tags to be durable and haven't had any issues with ripping or tearing.
If you will be traveling on an airplane to reach the port for your cruise, please do not attach your luggage tags to your luggage until after you have retrieved your luggage from the baggage claim. In most cases, you can simply attach the luggage tags to your suitcases just prior to arriving at the port. If you have purchased a
ground transfer through Disney Cruise Line, you can place your luggage tags on your luggage before dropping off your luggage with the luggage assistance teams or boarding your transportation to the port.
Patricia, you will be packing your suitcase and heading off for adventure in almost no time at all! If you have any further questions for us, please cruise our way again! My pals and I are always happy to help.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
