Hi Marguerite!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you sailed by with your question about your upcoming
Disney Cruise Line vacation! Since you are thinking about luggage, I hope your adventure is just around the corner!
Disney Cruise Line does not have size restrictions when it comes to checked luggage. Carry on luggage should be no larger than 22” x 14” x 9” since it will need to go through an x-ray security machine. When you arrive at the port for embarkation, there will be porters available to assist you with your checked luggage. You will want to ensure that each piece of checked luggage has one of the
luggage tags that you receive in the mail approximately 3-6 weeks prior to your voyage. Checked luggage will magically appear outside your stateroom after embarkation, but please note it could take some time to make its way to you so if there is anything important that you want on hand, put it in your carry-on luggage! You will need to store your luggage in your stateroom during the duration of your voyage, but most luggage will fit underneath the bed in the stateroom. As often as we try to “under pack”, we inevitably end up “over packing” and wind up with four large, expandable suitcases and we have no problems fitting them underneath our stateroom bed. I do highly recommend packing cubes if you are trying to make a lot of things fit into a bag; I am always AMAZED at what those things can hold, and they really do make packing easier! I just pull them out and put them directly into the drawers and I am unpacked!
Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea!
Happy Sailing!
