Is there a size limit to the items that can be carried onto the rides at the theme parks?

    Hello, Janet!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There are limits on the size of coolers and backpacks permitted in the parks so take a look at the Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules for size requirements. This page also lists prohibited items such as selfie sticks, skateboards and shoes with built-in wheels. Guest safety is always a priority, and if Cast Members feel that your safety or that of other Guests may be compromised, you will be asked to leave your items in a locker or with a member of your party not riding the attraction. I often carry a regular size backpack that I can tuck into the storage compartments in the ride vehicles, and the only issue I have had was riding Kali River Rapids. You must store your backpack before riding, as the storage area in the center of the ride vehicle is no longer available. Keep in mind that Locker Rentals are available throughout the theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs.

I hope this helps to answer your question, Janet. Please visit us again should you have other questions as you continue to plan your magical visit.

    Happy Planning!
