Hi there, Ricky, thanks for your question, and welcome to planDisney!
I'm thrilled to hear you're visiting the Disneyland Resort in just a couple of weeks - are you counting down the days? My family and I have stayed at
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel many times. We love the convenience of how close it is to the parks! We were also excited to hear about the
refurbishment in process now for the transformation into
Pixar Place Hotel.
You'll be happy to hear that you can absolutely bring a cooler with you into your room. We have done this in the past and utilized the hotel ice machines to keep our drinks cold. Also, keep in mind that the rooms have a mini-fridge that you're free to use as well. If you want to
bring the cooler with you into the parks, then it would need to be no larger than a 6-pack.
Top Not-So-Secret Pro Tip: there are two additional entrances to Disney California Adventure Park for Guests staying at
Disneyland Resort Hotels. You might have heard of the first one accessible through the lobby of
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Through this one, you enter the park in
Grizzly Peak near
Grizzly River Run.
However, there is a newer second exclusive entrance that I think is a bit more conveniently located for guests at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. To access this one, exit the lobby of Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and cross the street toward Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Instead of using your hotel key card to buzz into the main gate, you'll want to head to your right. This will take you along the side of the hotel to another entrance to Disney California Adventure Park right by
Corn Dog Castle. You can follow the path on the map in the
Disneyland mobile app if my directions are still not quite clear here - just start at Corn Dog Castle on the map and follow that path backward.
I hope you have an excellent visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, Ricky. Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
