Greetings, Lexi, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you’re hEAR, and I can’t wait to help you start planning your upcoming
Disneyland Resort vacation!
It’s always a good idea to do your research ahead of time so you don’t have any issues upon arrival. According to the
Disneyland Resort Rules, all coolers, backpacks, and bags can be no larger than 24” long by 15” wide by 18” high. So, as long as your bag fits within these parameters, you shouldn’t have a problem entering the parks with it. Keep in mind that you’ll be stopped at a Security Checkpoint before entering the Disneyland Resort, and a Security Cast Member will ask to look inside your bag before allowing you to pass. Also, if you plan on bringing a cooler, keep in mind that loose or dry ice isn’t permitted. Instead, I recommend bringing a re-usable ice pack to keep food and drinks cold.
Most backpacks and purses will fit just fine on most attractions, though there are a few attractions where you may need to leave your backpack in a secure spot at the base of the attraction, such as
Jumpin’ Jellyfish in Disney California Adventure Park.
If you plan on bringing any extra bags or clothes that you’d prefer not to carry around with you, I recommend renting a locker.
Locker rentals are available in various sizes in three different locations throughout the Resort, including one on the Esplanade (just outside the entrances of both theme parks), one on Main Street, U.S.A. (in Disneyland Park), and one on Buena Vista Street (in Disney California Adventure Park).
Please stop by with any additional planning questions, Lexi, and I’d be happy to help!
See ya’ real soon!
