when sitting at a TS how are the dining credits use as a whole for the table or individually?asking because in my group there's small children that are picky eaters and don't eat as much. Instead of wasting a TS on them can I use for someone else.

    Hi there, Jacqueline!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're getting ready to dig into the delicious world of the Disney Dining Plan, and I’m so excited for all the magical meals ahead!

When dining at a Table-Service location, each Guest on your Disney Resort hotel reservation who has a dining plan is allotted their own individual meal entitlements. This means dining credits are assigned per person, not pooled together for the entire table. So even if you're dining as a group, each Guest's credits are used separately, including children ages 3 to 9.

Now, I hear you on those tiny, picky eaters! As a fellow mom, I completely understand the wish to make every bite and credit count. While you can’t "transfer" a child’s TS credit to another adult (each Guest must use their own entitlements), there are a few strategies to keep things magical and stress-free. Some locations allow Guests to share meals at à la carte Table-Service restaurants, so if two kiddos want to split a meal, you're welcome to ask your server if that’s an option. Keep in mind that at buffets, character dining, and family-style meals, each Guest will need to use a meal credit, regardless of how much they eat.

If you’re looking to maximize value and ensure everyone enjoys their meals, I recommend browsing the restaurant menus on the Walt Disney World website or app in advance to find locations that offer a variety of kid-friendly options.

You can also explore dining locations that offer a lot of value in experience, like themed dining or character interactions, which can be just as exciting as the food itself. For example, breakfast at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort brings classic characters right to your table with a side of Mickey waffles, and 'Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort serves up family-style meals with island flair. For princess fans, Cinderella’s Royal Table inside Cinderella Castle or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT are unforgettable.

I love that you're already thinking like a pro, and I know your family is going to have an unforgettable time! For more helpful info, check out the Disney Dining Plan page on the Walt Disney World website or the planDisney Panel's dining tips and tricks.

Wishing you tasty bites and magical nights,
