Hello, Tiskono and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you thought to sail our way with your question. My pals and I are always looking to help our fellow guests chart a course for adventure on the Disney Cruise Line.
It sounds like you took advantage of my very favorite offer while onboard a Disney Cruise… booking a placeholder for your next vacation. This is something I do every time I cruise with Disney. I can’t pass up an opportunity to say “See ya real soon to Captains Mickey and Minnie”. As you have booked a placeholder, this can now be put towards a future cruise reservation as long as it is within 24 months of the date you booked your placeholder. If a placeholder is not used in the span of 24 months, it will be refunded to you in the original form of payment.
In order to turn your placeholder into a magical cruise, you must
call the Fairy Godmothers and Fairy Godfathers at Disney Cruise Line where they can “bibbidi bobbidi boo” your placeholder into a new booking. I know that wait times to speak with an agent have been recently elevated, so I suggest that you call early in the day. You can follow the promptings to book a new reservation and hopefully you won’t turn into a pumpkin as you wait.
I appreciate you coming our way at planDisney. We are here with any cruise questions you might have and we’d love to help you plan the best sailing ever. If you’d like to keep up to date with our latest tips and tricks, listen to (or watch!) the
planDisney podcast. My fellow panelists and I share insights on ways to make your vacations extra magical! Feel free to sail our way again.
Hope to SEA you real soon!
