Welcome back to planDisney, Sara! I'm so happy to see that you have a vacation in less than two months at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Our family loves to have dinner at
Disney Springs and dessert is always a priority! I have confirmed with
City Works Eatery & Pour House that you can order dessert to go. If you prefer to eat it there, you can always check with the hostess for seating availability. Because you are considering getting dessert to go, there are some other options I wanted to suggest because there's no such thing as too much dessert, right?! One of my favorite restaurants,
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', has the most amazing hummingbird cake! If you love ice cream,
Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop has delicious ice cream sundaes, shakes, and floats. If you are willing to wait a little while for dessert, the most popular place in all of Disney Springs for to-go sweets is
Gideon's Bakehouse! Before you head to your dinner reservation, you can stop by this location and join a virtual queue. You will receive a text when it's your turn to check-in and grab some of their popular cookies, cake, or both! I have found that the wait is shortest in the evening just before they close. I waited less than 20 minutes for these yummy cookies that weigh 1/2 pound each and I can assure you that they are definitely worth the wait! You can even get their classic chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven starting at 7:00 p.m.!
When you aren't at Disney Springs but you still want dessert, be sure to check out the
50th Anniversary Celebration Sips and Bites Guide! There are plenty of treats to satisfy any sweet tooth at all of the theme parks!
I'm wishing you a magical vacation and hope that you get to eat all of the desserts you desire! If you have any additional questions, please visit us again at planDisney.
Bon Appetit!
Lisa
