Hello there, Alvaro! Welcome to planDisney. We're glad you're here!
Many guests have fond memories of the
Main Street Electrical Parade from when they were young; I'm humming the signature song, "Baroque Hoedown," right now! The parade is currently celebrating its 50th Anniversary, and Imagineers have inserted a new finale featuring Encanto, Coco, Raya and the Last Dragon, and more! I'm happy to share a few tips on securing a great viewing spot!
The parade route runs from it's a small world, past Sleeping Beauty Castle, down Main Street U.S.A., and around Town Square. It often features both a first and second show, so my first tip is to try to watch the later one, if possible, since the crowds thin out after the fireworks. Disneyland fans love nothing more than to camp out for things well in advance, so my next piece of advice is to get to your location two and a half hours early, especially for the early parade (I've heard reports that Cast Members won't allow you to save spots until 6:30 PM). You'll find some built-in concrete benches across from the
Matterhorn that curves along the castle's edge.
If you don't want to waste precious park time, you can get reserved viewing for the Main Street Electrical Parade by booking a
dining package at Plaza Inn, however, all viewing areas are standing only. In the mood for a splurge? Then, you can book a
VIP Tour that allows access to reserved seating. If someone in your traveling party has a disability and has a wheelchair or ECV, there are reserved viewing areas without needing to book a package. Stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park earlier in the day to ask about reserving a wheelchair-accessible space for fireworks because space is limited in that location.
Alvaro, did you know you can buy Main Street Electrical Parade merchandise in both parks? Check
Mobile Order in the morning to see if you can order the Light-up Turtle Premium Sipper or Light-up Elliott Dragon Premium Popcorn Bucket. You can also find sweet parade-themed treats at
Candy Palace and
Jolly Holiday Bakery Café.
I hope you have a magical time this summer, Alvaro! Please feel free to write us back anytime.
