My sisters and I just surprised our dad with a trip to Disney World. He has not been in 24 years and now I want to get him a special pin for it; kind of like a first time but not really. Is there a pin that would kind of fit? Or what would you recommend?

    Hi Amanda,

How wonderful that you and your sisters surprised your dad with a trip to Walt Disney World! What an amazing and thoughtful gesture. This will be a trip to remember for sure.

When you are looking to customize your Walt Disney World celebration, there are many options. You can pick up celebration buttons free of charge at any Walt Disney World theme park Guest Relations location, as well as many other locations throughout Walt Disney World. Cast members can help you customize these further by using a permanent marker. I suggest the "I'm celebrating" button. It works for so many situations! My husband and I took a celebratory trip to Walt Disney World when I completed my doctorate. On that trip, I had a button that said "I'm celebrating earning my Ph.D.," and my husband had one that said "I'm celebrating my wife's Ph.D." These were great conversation starters with cast members and other guests. I suggest that you get an "I'm celebrating" button for your father that says something along the lines of "I'm celebrating my first trip to Walt Disney World in 24 years," and the rest of your party can have buttons that say "I'm celebrating my dad's first trip to Walt Disney World in 24 years." This is such a fun way to show everyone what you are celebrating.

For other ways to celebrate your special trip, I suggest looking at Disney Floral and Gifts. The cast members there can help you design a gift for any occasion. You can speak with them directly by calling 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438).

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Amanda. Have a great time planning this magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
