Hi there, Jennifer!
You are going to love visiting the Disneyland Resort at
Halloweentime! It is one of my absolute favorite times of the year to be in the parks with the festive fall decor, characters in costume, Jack Skellington's takeover of the
Haunted Mansion, happily haunted treats, and everyone in a spirited mood!
It's great that you are thinking ahead and planning around an evening when
California Adventure hosts the
Oogie Boogie Bash. As I'm sure you know, Oogie Boogie Bash is a special ticketed event on select evenings in the fall. The event begins at 6:00 PM, which means anyone holding a standard theme park ticket on those days will be nicely nudged to the exit to enjoy Downtown Disney or, if you have a Park Hopper, hop over to Disneyland Park for the rest of your evening. I confirmed with a Cast Member that standard ticket holders can still make dining reservations in California Adventure as long as they are before 6:00 PM, so you should still be able to enjoy
Lamplight Lounge at 5:45 PM. Once your meal has finished, you won't be able to partake in any of the park activities, including attractions, without an Oogie Boogie credential.
It sounds like you may be a foodie with Lamplight Lounge already on your list during your visit! I'd recommend keeping your eyes peeled on the
Disney Parks Blog, which will likely release a Halloweentime Foodie Guide, a comprehensive roundup of all the limited-time sweet and savory treats available only during these fall festivities! Last year, the
foodie guide was released as early as the first week of August, so stay tuned!
Jennifer, I sure hope this was helpful! You'll want to set a reminder for yourself to check the Entertainment Schedule, which posts about six weeks ahead of time, so early September for you. This will allow you to plan your days around any must-see entertainment, including the
Halloween Screams fireworks show above Sleeping Beauty Castle!
If you have any more questions, we are always happy to help here at

Wishing you a magical visit!
Tara
