Hi, my sisters and I are celebrating a 50th birthday at disney world in February (we'll be there for the Princess Marathon). We would like to take a cooking class or baking class, any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hey There, Maria!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so glad you dropped by with a question about your upcoming visit.  Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy –– it sounds like you and your sisters have a HUGE celebration planned this February!  You must be so excited!  After all that running during the 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, I can't think of a better way to celebrate than by creating a special treat for your whole group to enjoy!

As it just so happens, I've got some great news –– it looks like Amorette's Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience at Disney Springs should be returning in time for your visit!  While an official opening date hasn't been announced just yet, this adorable class will be returning sometime in November 2022, so be sure to keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news.  During the experience, you'll get to work in groups of two to create one of Amorette's signature character dome cakes, and to make things even sweeter, you'll enjoy bottomless bellinis, mimosas, coffees, teas, cappuccinos, and lattes while you work.  It's the perfect way to mark a special celebration!  While booking hasn't opened just yet, you'll be able to book this experience online as part of the Enchanting Extras Collection up to 60 days in advance, once it becomes available.  When booking, you'll just keep in mind that each reservation is for up to two people.

If cake decorating isn't quite your style (or you're looking to up your beverage game, along with your culinary skills), you and your sisters might also be interested in mixing up a magical concoction at Sangria University, located at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.  While I haven't gotten to experience this class for myself yet, my fellow Panelist, Lisa E., took it earlier this year and LOVED it! During the course, you'll get to learn about the history of sangria, taste the Resort's in-house recipes, and then try your hand at making your own blend –– and you'll even get to enjoy an appetizer while you work. Like the cake decorating experience, this course is part of the Enchanting Extras Collection and can be booked online up to 60 days ahead of time.

I hope these suggestions help to make your birthday celebration a little sweeter, Maria, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney.  I'm wishing you and your sisters lots of pixie dust during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
