Hi! My sister and I wanted to gift a silhouette portrait of our children for the grandparents for Christmas but don’t think they’ll sit still long enough. Can we bring a portrait for them to use? Thanks!

    Hiya Kathryn!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sending your Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR!

Oh boy! I love this question. I had my silhouette done at Walt Disney World Resort when I was little, and I gifted my son's Disneyland Resort profile to my own mom a few yEARs ago. I'm very happy to say that yes, the sweet artists in the wonderful Silhouette Studio on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Park can indeed work from a picture of your children should they become a little (or a lot) squirmy. I actually brought a few pictures of my mom's other grandchild, our dog, to have cut as part of the same gift. I remember swiping through a few different pictures that captured all of his unique features and that they appreciated having a few different options of his side view to work from.

Pro Tip: Go ahead and take a few different side pictures of each child now, before your arrival, somewhere and sometime when they're most relaxed or you think their hair is just right, etc, to have on hand for your studio session. The space can be kind of cramped and this way should they be totally over it, you'll have the option to have another adult take them somewhere else while still checking this present off of your Christmas gift list.

I hope that this helped to plan your upcoming Disney days, Kathryn! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks.
