Welcome to
planDisney, Candace!
I'm so glad you stopped by with what I consider to be a very important question! I'd also heard about the famous Mickey-shaped beignets for some time but never knew where to find them. Once I did, oh boy, what a delicious treat! You can't go wrong with any of the dipping sauces, and while the caramel is my personal favorite, I'd suggest trying them all! Did you know you can also jazz up your beignets with a Kahlua, Bailey's or RumChata injection? There's also great coffee and unique seasonal specialty beignets from time to time. Talk about indulgence!
As you mentioned, Mickey-shaped beignets are currently available at
Scat Cat's Club - Cafe located at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. In the past, they've been offered at other dining locations within the Resort, including
Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory right next door, so you might want to check with a Cast Member upon arrival to find them.
There are a few different ways for you to get to Port Orleans to indulge in these delicacies. For the most part, parking at
Disney Resort Collection hotels is limited to Guests staying at the Resort or those with advance dining reservations at a restaurant in the Resort. If you're driving, you might consider making a dinner reservation at
Boatwright's Dining Hall, which would allow you to enter and park at the Port Orleans Resorts. You could then end your meal with a delicious Mickey-shaped beignet dessert at Scat Cat's Club!
Another great option is to use
complimentary bus transportation to the Port Orleans Resorts from any
Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park. From
Disney Springs, you can also take a bus, or my preferred mode of transportation, a short boat ride from the Disney Springs Marketplace dock down the tranquil Sassagoula River. You'll even get to pass by the unique Treehouse Villas at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa along the way! Do keep in mind that
boat transportation hours and availability are subject to water and weather conditions, but bus transportation from Disney Springs is a backup if you go this route.
I hope this information helps you have a more delicious trip!
Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with as you continue to put the finishing touches on your vacation.
