My sister and I will be visiting Disney in July. We have five boys. Son 13 has ADHD and Oppositional defiance disorder. nephew 10 has autisum, and my nephew who 5 has ADHD. My son 4 has developmental delays. Nephew 8 no delays. Would a GAC help?

Hi Misty! Your five boys will have a fantastic vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, and if I may add, so will you and your sister! Guest Assistance Cards (GAC) will assist guests with a wide variety of special needs. Each GAC will accommodate the bearer, and up to five other members of the travel party, by allowing access to alternate attraction entrances where available. Once you arrive at Guest Relations please explain that you are traveling with four nonapparent special needs children. Be ready to explain each child's specific needs and describe what special accommodations are required. In addition, please specify the total number of people in your travel party. Guest Relations will issue separate GACs. However, keep in mind that each GAC will be tailored to each individual child's needs. The Cast Member will add different stamps to each GAC in order to alert attraction Cast Members as to the type of special assistance each child will require. The child whose name is on the GAC must be present when entering the attraction. You won't be asked to provide proof of disability, so you won't need a doctor's letter in order to request GACs. However, it is always wise to bring medical documentation to have handy in case of any unforseen emergency. To learn more about the type of assistance Guests with Disabilities have access to at Walt Disney World, please refer to this link on the WDW website. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you. This is the year of making memories at Walt Disney World. May your family enjoy making many lasting memories together!
