My sister (in SC) was a last minute add on to our trip (in one week) and her magicband came to my address (in WV). She will arrive hours before me. Will she be able to check in, and access her dining plan without her band?

    Hi, Cassandra!

If your sister is included on your reservation and proper identification, she should have no problem checking in at your resort (since this lucky girl gets to start her vacation a few hours earlier than the rest!)  Your sister should inform the Cast Member who is checking her in that her MagicBand is on the way. They will do one of two things:  They might give her a gray band and link all the information onto that, or give her a Key to the World card which will serve the same purpose.  Somehow, they will make it work so she can start enjoying all the magic before you arrive.

My only advice is to tell her not to dare have a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar without you, as that would just be totally unfair!  Have a super time in Walt Disney World.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
