Hello there Jill, wishing you a Royal welcome to planDisney!
As an aspiring snowbird, there's nothing like the idea of saying goodbye to the wintery weather and hello to the sunny Floridian skies. For a lot of folks, moving to Florida can have an additional bonus of potential eligibility for Florida-resident discounts and offers,
including the purchase of certain Annual Passes.
When you purchase any special admission media like
Annual Passes designated for your fellow Floridians, you'll have to prove your residency. To do so online or via the My Disney Experience mobile app, you'll need to enter your details in order to complete your Digital Residency Verification, which is the quickest and easiest way! If for any reason the verification could not be completed, you'll still be able to present valid proof and identification in person at a Vacation Planning window
at designated Guest Relations locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including Disney Springs.
After speaking with a Guest Relations Cast Member, they pointed me to a few things that you may use to
prove that you reside at a Florida address:
- Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
- Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
- Valid Florida-based military ID
Some folks who are unable to present these may also provide supporting documents dated within the past two months prior to making your purchase that may include mortgage statements, utility bills or even mail from financial institutions along with valid photo identification. They also wanted to make sure that you take the time to read and verify the
Terms and Conditions that come with purchasing an Annual Pass.
Once you've successfully verified your Florida residency and have qualified for a Florida-Resident Annual Pass, you're entitled to all of the
Passholder Perks and Exclusives that we love taking advantage of whenever we can!
Feel free to come back to planDisney any time to
ask me more questions, and I shall always do my best to bestow some Princely knowledge. Wishing you all the best on your quest for warmer weather in Florida!
