Hi David,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
David, per chance do you have two My Disney Experience accounts that are attached to separate emails? If so, you might need to delete one of the accounts so only one name shows up in your sister’s
My Disney Experience mobile app. To delete a duplicate My Disney Experience account, you’ll want to select “My Profile” within the “My Disney Experience” section of the
website, then choose “Account Settings”. Finally, you’d scroll down to “Delete Account”.
Now, if you don’t remember setting up two My Disney Experience/Mobile App accounts or you definitely only have one, then your name might just be duplicated within your sister’s app. Maybe on your last trip she added your name, then she re-added it for this trip? Either way pretty easy to fix!
Once she’s in her app, she should select the three lines in the lower right-hand corner. Next, scroll down to “My Profile”. Under “My Account”, she should select the “Family & Friends List”. Next have her select your duplicate name and finally select “Remove from My List”. The app is going to ask you to confirm and once she confirms, you should no longer see that second name. If the app happens to delete the name associated with your ticket, Hakuna Matata, just have her select “Reassign” under the ticket and she should see your name to re-add it.
If you run into any technical issues during this process, have your sister connect with the
My Disney Experience and MagicBands help desk!
